Q.

I am staying in a rented house at wankaner. I am paying 5000/- rent p.m. I have just bought a home at ahmedabad. My own home at ahmedabad is vacant. Can i claim the rent as well as interest of ahmedabad for tax benefit? If your answer is yes than is there any amount that i have to show as notional income for the vacant house of ahmedabad?

1.

A vacant house is NIL . You can claim the interest repaid as negative income from the house.
