I had my studies in government schools.No such formolities. some students will come with out shirt also.

Yup it was navy blue tunis and white shirt , navy blue socks and black shooe. later the school changed to navy blue skirt and pinstrip shirt with school belt , tie and navy blue socks n balck ballerina shoes. rm . iwas in yellow house so house t shirt with white divided skirt and white tennis shoes n white socks!!

In our times there was no such specification because affording a dress was enough; there were hardly any missionery schools which first introduced the uniform system. even pyzama with or without shoes or chappal and a dhoti and shirt with shoes was allowable.
