We learnt to divide and rule , to be hypocrites , to be racial , to not allow people of lower caste in places of worships , to preach something and follow the opposite !

Thye Democracy.Even if they were our lors and masters they scruplously ran the government more or less on the same lines as their domestic government.They say had ther 1857 War of Independence succeeded there would have been revival of the dynastic government. Of course our dynastic traits have not left us . The premiership almost runs in the same family but then we cannot blame the Britishers for it. It is we who are unable to shed this dynastic mentalaity .

Democracy, socialism, Judiciary based on equality and rule of law, modern science and technology, better and cleaner way of life ( basic things like wet toilets), railway, a language with which we can communicate to the world, modern medicine and diagnostics, the concept of free media/press and freedom of expression..... to name a few !

In reality, we learned many bad things such as divide and rule, castism from Britishers. We never learned any good things from the Britishers such as Puntuality, disipline etc.
