Doesn't it stand to reason that someone with an exceptionally high IQ would have a very different perspective on things? As well as very different interests than the average person?",

Their habits, friends and behaviors would vary greatly, depending on their individual interests. Social interaction would not be comfortable, due to the vast difference in perspectives, but how they deal with it would be an individual, personal matter. Same with their choice of friends and how they behave.

The differences between them, as individuals, would be far more varied than, say, between social individuals focused on seeking social approval. Social individuals share a prominent, common interest in "successful" socializing and tend to pursue the same interests as their peers.

Social acceptance may enhance the life of the custom....and the spread also....where as the legal acceptance may restrict it to a particular community....or the group....and it may not grow further....legalities whenever support a practice...it wears the look of a forced upon culture....

If any customs or practice is socially acceptable by a large number of people then no amount of legal prevention of that act can stop such acts from being practiced. On the other hand if certain acts are legally permissible but socially not acceptable by majority of the people then there is always a possibility that majority who are in favor of the traditional practise will take law into their own hands and no matter what the law of the land may say, it will be the social will that will prevail. For instance child marriage or dowry is legally wrong. But in communities who have not changed their customs and are adamant on sticking to their customs these legally prohibited practices will continue to prevail irrespective of what the law says. In rural areas where traditional customs are the socially acceptable law it is the will of the society that prevails. It is impossible to enforce the law of the land. If somebody tries to enforce the law of the land, there will be blood shed and ...more
