Though he was the rightful inheritor of kingdom being eldest son of the ruler of that time as the custom prevailed then, the challenge posed by Pandavas for a war for not giving any share of kingdom to them, was coolly accepted by Duryodhana. Because he was a defeated prince, all good things of him did not come to light and only good things were projected of the winners. That always the case with any generation that we hold on to the tail of winning horse.

It was because of his vehement attitude, MahaBharat war was fought killing his biggest army. He was caring only for his selfish desires, greed and lust which met tragic end.
No good things in him except hatred towards righteous people, narrow and cruel behavior marked his life.

Duryodhan was the real character in Mahabharat who was believeing in the Undivided country ....... he never agreed to spilt into parts ........... he was the real person from the royal family of Kauravs ...... and he was the only character who reached at Heaven .......... I appreciate his effort to keep the country unite .........
