Why is everybody suggesting BSNL broadband? I do not wish to take another landline and pay monthly rentals without any benefit. Is there any BSNL scheme where I will get a line without paying phone-rentals-for-no-use? I have a prepaid Tata Walky to make calls.

Dear Friend,
If u do not wish to install BSNL then go for Airtel they provide broadband without Landline and pay the monthly renta for Broadband.

If BSNL does not provide broadband without land line, try going for airtel/tata indicom. If Airtel/tata indicom also provide land line along with it make a comparison and decide.

BSNL tariffs are simple and clear without hidden aspects. The details are in website. I donot think you get Braodband w/o rental. Since, rentals come with free calls , it may be better. Go far 500 combo plan.
