The Health Secretary of Mexico declared following mandatory codes during endemic period of Swine Flu
Schools and universities in the federal capital and Mexico State will remain closed until further notice, a measure that affects 7.5 million students.
Recommended that "people who have any symptoms don't go to work" and urged the population in the affected area to avoid public gatherings.
Most of the capital's museums, theaters and cultural institutions announced they were closing because of the outbreak.
Recommendations to Avoid Catching Seasonal Influenza
To avoid contagion, the Health Secretariat recommends the following measures to avoid catching influenza:
Keep away from people with respiratory infection.
Wash hands frequently with soap and water.
Do not kiss people or shake hands when you greet them.
Do not share food, glasses or cutlery.
Ventilate and let the sun into the house, offices and all closed areas.
