What exactly is the requiremnt ?
A . To Control Camera from remote location to take pictures or
B . To collect pictures at remote location ?
Simple solution spend some money and buy a Digital Camera with Wifi / Bluetooth and an Infrared remote but in case you have an existing camera you can try follwoing options.
For Requiremnet A
Remote controlled Digital Cameras are available but the remote is generally IR based so remote controoler has to be in line of sight.
An alternative is to control a normal Digital Camera using a PC ( USB based controller). In case you have Canon Digital Camera you can try software available at http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
any try USB remote controller. For other Cameras do a google search to get similar hacks
For requiremnt B your camera should support some data transfer protocol that is
you either need a WiFi or bluetooth enabled camera to transfer images.
Alternative is to use a long USB cable and connect to PC/laptop and then t ...more
