Indians have a unique distinction of being the only people on earth to make a prophet out of a lunatic madman African dictator by the name of Idi Amin Dada of Uganda- whose chief goal (among other things) was the expulsion of ALL Indians from Uganda citing a "holy dream" he had during his sleep. Apparently, out of the blue Amin told all Indians 2 leave because he had a dream that some divine figure came and warned him that if Indians stay back, all natural reserves in the African nation will be stripped brim.

Tanzanians disposed of Idi Amin, and now Indians were welcomed back 2 resettle and what's the first thing we do? We take over their national sugar company (not a bad thing intrinsically) and instead of being happy w/ that takeover, we canvass within Uganda itself 2 convert the nation's last remaining wildlife reserve into a sugarcane plantation!

So we actually breathed some substance into Idi Amin's divine dreams ramblings! I can't think of any other ppl who'd do that!

I am not an academician or research scholar to comment but I have spent 6 years abroad and visited 9 countries. My observation is in India corruption is pyramidal in its spread.
Slave master relation gave birth of a culture of obliging, showing loyalties and obedience to master. During Mughal it was in kind but during British it became cash and favour.(ask ppl worked in mining, tea/coffee estate, rubber plantation etc daring British- how they used money to buy loyalists). After independence top ppl in power wanted to be come deshi gora and behave like their ex bosses, the British. They made sure that their subordinates behave with them the way they behave with goras. To acquire luxurious life of goras they wanted to be rich over night and started misusing their power to extract exxxxtra money. Now that has percolated to the entire society. But to say we are only corrupt ppl on the earth is too much.

They already are. And you did not say Indians, Eastern Europeans. I have seen Indians are the worst. They have somehow found the clue to become Doctors, Dentists. Now they become Doctors and Dentists, they become banyas to make money. They move to USA. The open up a dental practice and hire dedicated Canadian, American dentists and they themselves become just administrators. It is a shame and I don't like it.
