No such thing as pure english, even in england there is different accents and slang that is not common. There is also different uses of words and speech.

Effectivly correct english is the Queens english which is meant to be taught in schools.

Americans speak an version fo 16th century english with a scottish/irish tilt to the accent, however this has been corrupted with further with German, dutch , jewish italian and Icelandic words coming into the mix.

Canadians speak english with a french patois, Australians speak English with a cockney lilt and a strine all of their own.

New Zealenders strangle every vowel they can get their hands on.
