The choice of laptop that you would want to buy should be governed by the use to which you would put that to use. If your requirements are restricted to and as simple as browsing and occasional or medium use of the features that comes with a system, there isn't any great idea in your spending a larger amount in buying a high end laptop, which will be a waste. And also remember, these laptops, high priced or low priced would more or less have the same resale or buy back value after a certain period of usage.

If the requirements are normal, my choice would be to suggest to you to go for a Lenovo Laptop Model G450 2949 2HQ which is presently having an offer price of Rs. 25,990 against the usual price of Rs. 30,990. It has specifications:

Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor, T 4200 (2.0 GHz , 800 Mhz, 1 MB L2 Cache)
Operating System: DOS,
Memory: 1GB DDR 3
Hard Disk Drive: 250 GB SATA
Display: 14" HD LED Glare
Others: DVD Super Multi, Intel Integrated ...more

Came across this really cool new laptop by Wipro called 'e.go'. It comes in some really funky color. Why don't you give it a try. The netbook is just for 19K.
Check out its review on- http://tech2.in.com/india/reviews/laptops/wipro-ego-bm-2700/80082 /0

It's 10 inch netbook also comes under a Tablet range which looks simply amazing. You can actually rotate the screen 180 degrees. The Tablet PC has been reviewed over here- http://tech2.in.com/india/reviews/netbooks-laptops/wipro-e.go-wnb 7xfd182-netbook/119912/0

On an average any good laptop is available within the price range of Rs.20,000-Rs.30,000. There are a lot of brands available in the market. Do check out our latest range of netbooks and notebooks called 'e.go'. It comes in three colours- yellow, red and coral blue.
