1.
Main items were leaves, fruits and underground stems of plants growing wild. There is mention of them eating nonveg by killing a deer and eating the flesh. There was no dearth of pure drinking water from the streams.

Obviously the fruits and herbs available in the dense forests.Mother nature had saved all the food stuffs for all the creatures by that time bcz ppl unlike those of this time never ruined the balance of nature in the TRETAYA YUG
