The UPA government or cabinet which is in power at centre should have send a note to the President recommending approval or rejecting mercy in this case to speed up the process. But by keeping in mind about their minority vote bank they simply kept quite and want to make the president alone responsible for what ever decision taken in this regard.
Now Smt Pratiba Patil a patriotic Maharashtrian with the help of Shiv Sena and the so called secular parties is in the office as President. Let us see what did she do in this case as every one knows that without Smt Sonia's concent and knowledge she cannot do any thing.
