Alwaye(or Aluva)is a town in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. It is known to be one of the most industrialized towns in Kerala. People associate Alwaye with the famous 'Aluva Sivarathri festival' celebrated at Manal Puram(land with sand) near the banks of the Periyar River. Alwaye is situated about 12 kilometers away from the Cochin International Airport. it is famous for the Kings Palace(Travancore). This palace was mainly used for film shooting until the archeological department imposed some limitations on the shooting. The Federal Bank, one of the biggest private banks in India has its headquarters in Alwaye.

near KOCHI only 30 min drive from kochi. Nice place but full of mosquitos.F ACT is located in ALWAYE.
