Q.

AFGHAN WAR .People in the West are asking now, how can we afford to fight these stupid endless wars when our own citizens are waiting in bread ques for handouts,
while 17 million children are going hungry in USA in 2011, unemployment is going through the roof, and all the while there is no money for new schools,
hospitals, roads but there is enough money to pay for these Wars and to pay for Israel ???

Every drone in the sky is costing millions of taxpayer dollars to hunt down a few guys on the other side with AK47's and RPG's.

There is a saying in English: As you sow, so you reap. U.S.A. is manufacturing lot of weapons and to sell these weapons, they moot wars between small countries. In the melee, they sell these weapons to these smaller countries and make money. This is the bad money earned. Naturally, citizens are suffering from so many problems including unemployment problems, economic recession etc. U.S. must learn their biggest lesson out of this and stop selling arms immediately.

I absolutely agree with you that wasting money on wars is the most stupid thing which mankind has been doing throughout its existence on this planet.
The citizens of USA are right in questioning their government on its adventurism in so many parts of the world. But is the economy of USA in a bad shape really because of the war? I do not think so. It is due to the greed of its capitalists who encouraged the mad system of endlessly spending money on credit.
There are counties whose economies are in much worse shape than USA. Bread ques do not even exist there and their people are starving by millions. But penurious state of their economy did not prevent those governments from allotting additional resources for waging war against their neighbors
