Some dogs do fine with travelling, but some of them get anxious. With dogs, it would largely depend on the dog. Many people have dogs that they frequently go on road trips with. However, many people have to board their dog to go on road trips or the dog will get anxious or even car sick. If you go for a dog, either start with a puppy that you can train to get used to being in the car my sister did this with her Pomeranian, doesn't always work but usually does or adopt a calmer, less hyper dog. They usually do best in cars. ",

I wouldn't think cats would be good for road trips. I'd be far too afraid of losing them. And unless the cat is leash trained, it would be hard to make bathroom breaks with a cat.

Other thing I'm thinking of, is some type of rodent. I wouldn't say anything smaller than a Syrian hamster so no mice, dwarf hamsters, or gerbils as I'd be too afraid of travelling with them in the Winter or Summer. I was thinking maybe a Syrian hamster? Guinea pigs might, but they ...more
