A worth and must to be seen. I have visted the temple thrice. The temple is the geographic and ritual center of the ancient city of Madurai and one of the largest temple complexes in Tamil Nadu. The temple complex is divided into a number of concentric quadrangular enclosures contained by high masonary walls. It is one of the few temples in Tamil Nadu to have four entrances facing four directions

Yes, Sir I visited the temple but not for offering Puja / or any other kind of worship. I visited to observe its architecture . It is often referred to as Mathura of South. Apart from that I went to Coimbatore campus of Tamilnadu Agricultural University several times and each time I went to visit Meenakshee Mandir.

Yes. There is something unique in that temple. The Vaigai river and Meenakhi both have blessed Madurai to be different from other towns of T.N.
