Pelican Isle is a perennial favorite on Okaloosa Island and has wonderful amenities including 300 of gulf frontage, fantastic sparkling gulf front pool, hot tub, and fitness center. Immaculate gulf front condos in an awesome location close to all of the Destin and Fort Walton Beach activities. Pelican Isle is one of the premier properties on Okaloosa Island with a front desk open 7 days a week. Pelican Isle with its lush shrubs, flowers and palm trees, is one of the newest buildings on Okaloosa Island.

Esoteric image-fragments from the infamous prison of Alcatraz are displayed on two video monitors aligned side by side reminiscent of an island in the installation. The two video monitors form a panoramic image divided into two "cells." The "double-view" from Alcatraz is captured simultaneously with two cameras, utilizing a specially designed camera mount. The soundtrack for the installation is composed of fragments of ambient sounds from the prison. The Island of Pelicans refers to the English translation of La Isla de los Alcatraces, a name given by the Spanish explorer Juan Miguel de Ayala in 1775.
