If you love hills its Munnar, If forests its Periyar.But you can find hills& forests in other places in India,but you must go there for backwaters atleast.

The entire stretch of lush green Kerala is beautiful. It is very diffcult to differentiate a particular place.

I think Munnar is most beatiful place in Kerala ( High range ) & in seashore Alleppey,Backel Fort Kasarkkode is also beautiful.

Travel by train from Cochin the commercial capital to Trivandrum the capital (by Alleppey route) and you can get a four hour eye full of breath taking scenery on either side. Check out our the day time tables. You may proceed to Kanya Kumari which is barely two hours from Trivandrum. Visit Kerala Tourism Dev. Corpn. offices or websites for further details of well known and not so well known destinations. And not to forget the temples, variety of bananas and kerala food!
