Manas is a magnificent National Parks well known for Only tiger reserve in Assam.
It is also a World heritage site.
Important for rarest species like hispid hares, pigmy hog, golden langur, other wild lives are elephant, tiger, deer, hornbill, Rhino, Wild buffalo, and hundreds of other species of animals and birds in this park.
Location : 176 kms from Guwahati, It is situated on the bank of the river Manas at the foothills of the Himalayas.

Manas National Park is a National Park, UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, a Project Tiger Reserve, an Elephant Reserve and a Biosphere Reserve in Assam, India. Located in the Himalayan foothills with a part extends to Bhutan. The park is well know for its rare and endangered wildlife which is not found anywhere else in the world like the Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog.

Manas Tiger Reserve in Assam was created in 1973 at the time of launch of the Project Tiger in India. The Reserve area falls in six districts, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Barpeta, Nalbari, Kamrup and Darrang. It is situated on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra river.
