It was taught by Lord Sri Krishna in the Dharma Kshetra Kuru Kshetra just before the commencement of the Mahabhara war ,when Arjun hesitated to participate in the war as he saw his own relatives all around.To remove the confusion from the minds of Arjun Lord Sri KRISHNA narrated the the truth about our life n relations,which has been named as our Holy GEETA.
