When sun rises it seems to be big. The radius of sun seems to decrease as it reaches over head .Again radius of the sun seems to increase during sun set, Why is it so ?

It is the illusion created by atmosphere when light passes through atmosphere. Greater the length it passes through the earth atmosphere, sun appears bigger.

Atmospheric refraction causes the Sun to be seen while it is still below the horizon.
The Sun appears larger at sunrise than it does while higher in the sky, in a manner similar to the moon illusion.
