I think its a good job done by Akhilesh yadav although its more due to personal rivalry he has cancelled it but Kashi ram did not deserve it because he is not one to have contributed to either UP development or National progress!!

The holiday was declared without proper reasoning. Hence, cancelling it is the right decision and should be appreciated.

I don't have any idea, why Akhilesh did it. But, whatever the reason is, the end result is finer with me.Who is Kanshi Ram ? ?What was his contribution to the country except grooming a corrupt politician like Mayawathi. If the state had a Holiday in his name, there could be nothing more blatantly senseless like that. It could be that out of political rivalry Akhilesh did it, but it was a very good thing to and the end of the day. We are already having a Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar jayanti on a national scale, whay dies a Kanshi Ram mean to the country?

People in UP who have missed a public holiday must be disappointed. But there is a possibility Akilesh may declare 22nd November, birthday of his father Mulayam as a public holiday.
