This is not prostitution because there is social sanction for their living together as husband and wife and she is not in flesh trade.
There can be different reasons for her to hate her husband but for the sake of family specially children she is sacrificing herself by adjusting with the situation.
There are too many such cases in our country. We need to appreciate the sacrifices of our women in such cases because for the larger good of the family, they do not even complain about the suffocation with which they live.

Plea of d women! D woman suffers whole her life and is left by no othr choice as she is economically dependent and has social issues!! All thanks to d patriarchial society of ours.....if same was d case wid man, wudn't he ask for divorce? Unfortunately in india, only physical tortures r counted upon! A law needs to be passed here dat any kind of relation widout d woman's concern wud b considered as ' Rape' itself!!!

This is a very harsh word you are using. Not a right word Sir.
Prostitution is where a woman compromises with her feminity all the way to many to earn a living having no dependencies like how a wife will have with her husband. When a woman hates her husband and she is still continuing, does make a mockery of that relationship which she could part from him and get a life. They are not doing it out of fear of society , so blame the society who has cultured her that way, and not her .

Your story is on one sided version. If it is really true it is due to the whole and total mistake of wife husband is getting hatred and made to live with such wife, though law protects a woman, but morally disgusting. But many a time, such stories have other versions too which is not brought to readers knowledge.

NO IT IS NOT PROSTITUTION...
Such woman must try to understand the problem in the husband, try to correct his what she thinks is wrong, and what has made her hate him.
since she is the married wife, living with the husband is not only provides her economical support, she is also safe from ''wolfs'' in the society who will not let her pass her time if she is not with her father or brother. But these also will not give her life long support.
secondly, prostitutes are those who willing cater to the needs of many men. Even if she hatefully lives with her husband she is not exposed to many.

We can't say it is prostitution ............. as the lady believes that " Time is the great healer" and the husband too, both wife and husband stays together but never disclose others this about the situation .......... yes, she can be termed as Prostitute if she stays with her Husband and spends time with other for her bio satisfaction ........

I find a strong argument in your question. In many marital disputes, the Hon'ble Courts held that because financial non-independence, the wives are raped by the husbands by coercing them into physical relationship against will. If emphasis is supplied on spontaneous agreement , most of the marriages do not stand the test of mutual understanding and the co-existence is forced against some consideration. Such a consideration could be the very subsistence as you have pointed out. So, if the charge of rape can be slapped on the husbands, the reverse should also accepted as true for consistency of arguments and the charge of "prost......" cannot be rubbished.
