There was a fight between a father and his son over father's wits and wisdom. Finally, son told that "you know Gandhiji, Edison, Einstein, Armstrong, bill Gates etc. etc. But no one knows the names respective fathers." Father got spell-bound, instead of asking do somebody know names of Gandhiji's sons.
I think this is from a Ranbir Kapoor film.
The teacher might realised that he/she can teach those limited subjects after learning all the subjects as a student.

Sir i want to give you one eg..
like in MBA (2 year course)
students have to study all subjects like marketing, finance, HR, OM, strategy and many...
but in last sem there subjects get reduced as well as they do study in separate subject for specialization...
such as only in HR.. or OM or finance..and many...
.
so as same as this students have to study all the subjects and after that in PG they have to choose one subject which they feel comfortable and wants to do specialization..
