Gillu yadav the police man posted at vt on 26/11 fought with terrorists with his refle and was awarded 10 lakhs rupees by laloo yadav but his name was not included in the police national award list while assistant of a minister was included is it not disgraceful and insult to brave people like him?

Sir, I DEEPLY bow t the brave defender of the Police Forces as such volk are RARE GEMS as Mumbai incident showed sir. Anyone who is ready to risk his life will NEVER abuse a common person.

But........I am a bit worried about "award" concerns, especially amongst police forces in post 90's times. Fighting back is a duty and should be expected of the police force or ANY combatant force sporting our national tricolour insigna and those who retreated, which was a LOT of them, which necessitated the need of commandos eventually....should b punished or removed from service.

In my humble opinion, a bravery award is used in scenarios such as....

A police officer (or Jawan) or officer sacrificing himself by jumping on a grenad thrown by militant, thereby allowing the other 12 policemen or jawan to kill the militants in the gap and save themselfs simoultaneously.
