That is a 'concept' in our minds. Anything modern is equated with phoren and thus immoral. That's how we see things. The year 1900 was modern for the year 1500 i.e many people who to advocate ant sati sentiments must have been dubbed as "Modern" and "immoral"!
Until by 'Modern' you mean any that has to do with West, how can 'Modern' be immoral? And, come to think of it, why should the Western civilisation be called immoral by us Indians??

Modernity is changing in accordance with the current trend of the likes of the people and it is in line with the ever changing world . Every thing around us is ever changing and why should our idea of custom and fashion alone should ever be constant ? In accordance with time the likes , fashion would also change and so it does . But that has nothing to do with morality . Immorality has always existed irrespective of modernity . So sir , immorality has no direct relation to modernity .

No , not at all. We have to change with the world. In no where modernity is linked with immorality. What is meant by modern. in the outlook, ok , if you think in the outlook i may agree with you. There are some people who are too modernised but at the same time, they still practice the old way of life. We should always do modernisation in our thinking. then everything will be alright. In olden days, people dressed in a traditional way. Now a days, people tend to dress differntly. Moreover, immorality never comes with modernity. if it happens, half of Mumbail might have spoiled. so It is in our minds only, the concepts of these two things. For each and every generation, the conepts remain the same. The early century things that previous one is too orthodox and vice versa. hence , sir, we should not look upon this idea. and mix upon everything. Everything is fair in love and war. am i not correct.

I humbly do not agree. All people with modern thoughts are not immoral. There are many traditional people who secretly indulge in immoral acts. The recent example of a priest in a temple in Kanjeevaram is proof of this. When one develops positive thinking and nurtures goodwill and honest opinion, all their acts will become good and noble and there will be no room for immoral acts.
