If you are from south then saree is the most choosen one. but as you have mentioned late night party a jense with some tops will be good.

I suggest that instead of going in for a dress that is too revealing( they can sometimes look cheap), you can opt for a slender fit dress that is cut just at the knee or 1/2 an inch above. An evening out should be about class and style and you should wear something that flatters and accentuates your positive features.
