Our local languages such as Konkani in the Konkan Coast, Marathi in Maharashtra, Kannada in Karnatak, Malayalam in Kerala, Tamil In Tamil Nadu, Telugu in Andhra, Oriya in Odisha, Bengali in Bengal etc

Which is not the official lang approved in a state. Previously, any lang other than eng. was treated as vernacular as none but eng used to be our official lang.
