Beauty industry only can promote themselves that way. Sells best with women. No one can become fairer in only in 7 days .. but we still go buy the product after the amusing adds we watch, only proving that false add's have far succeeded in promoting their product .

Yes, Models are shown endorsing a product, they know nothing about. There is cut throat competition in this Industry, margins are huge. So they spend lots of money on marketing even the sub standard products.
