Both will suffer irreparable damage and losses and in the process, some neighbouring countries will also suffer from the after effects of nuclear weapons.

There may not be full fledged war, but small conflicts will go on. There will be terrorist attacks and covert operations. There will be cold war. And this is what is happening between India and Pakistan. This will go on unless India acts tough and gives free hand to the armed forces and adopts the policy of tit for tat.
