No non no, you are mixing two things here ... which are actually poles apart!! The issue of corruption is such an issue that no Indian (I mean common people) will compromise on it as everybody faces problems in their day to day life at all levels due to corruption.
Hence Team Anna and Anna himself gets the support of people. But Kashmir is not an issue to be roped in by team Anna in their agenda of corruption. Bhushan stepped beyond his brief. Not that he is not allowed to. He is a free citizen of the country and can speak up on any issue.
However, the reaction of those goondas or who ever sent them was un-civilised and it should not have happened.

You seem to be unable to distinguish between issue based reactions and personality based reactions. Just because a person gets big support on one issue, it does not necessarily mean he will get the same on other issues also.
As far as the public opinion in Kashmir is concerned, it is a matter related to a particular religious community. This community does not want to be a part of India. I also think that it will be interesting to see what happens if a free and plebisite is conducted in the entire Kasmir (which includes all the areas under Indian, Pakistani and Chinese control).
(1) Will the Kashmiris opt for Pakistan or azadi?
(2) If they opt for azadi, will it be acceptable to Pakistan?
(3) What will be the reaction of thousands of Chinese soldiers already present in POK?
(4) Will the militiamen allow hurriat to take power in their hands?
