The Jizya tax is unfair. It establishes a prejudist system of taxation where one group of people, the Muslims, pay a certain tax called Zakat. If that same group of people were not Muslims, they would have paid a different tax called Jizya. Jizya is also a prejudist system of taxation because it prevents a group of people from joining the military and its highest ranking officials. That same group is also prevented from taking high political positions in the state based on their religious background.
