These were the post WW two years for the UK/GB and was the year that there were still bomb sites across the country, it was also the year that businesses started to get back on their feet, though there was still ration books. Trams and Trolley buses were means of transport in london. It was also the year that Queen Elizabeth eleven got married, and that brought a great deal of joy to the country. It was also the year that the National Health System was started, which helped the poorer classes, no longer would they be worried about calling a doctor out.
On top of that, it has began to see Pakistan / India, which were former colonies of UK / GB getting independence. They were the second / third countries that achieved independence in post World War two with Jordan started the trend a year earlier.
