This gomti river that begins its journey from Fulhar Jheel in Madhotanda (near Mainkot (around 3 kilometers east of Pilibhit district in Uttar Pradesh, India) and after flowing through the districts of Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Lucknow, Barabanki,, Sultanpur, Faizabad and Jaunpur, it ultimately confluences with River Ganga near Saidpur Kaithi in Ghazipur near Varanasi.
