We indians are termed as lazy ones ecause no. of hours work we doin office, in a survey just published it has been revealed that south korea is best with 2357 hrs per year while usa is in the 7th place with 1797 hrs per year, what you have to say?

How true is the survey is anybodys guess? Even then i feel it does come very close to reality

Our system is such that you work less to get more . almost everywhere productive person are earning less than non-productive person.

The results are rite but the analysis is wrong....in my view.... Indians are not too lazy. We do tug & toil like bulls in the work place, but do so very mechanically, not with a problem solving mindset. And we haven't figured out how to read a CLOCK yet- MOST vital tool for business / economy and PRODUCTIVITY :) Other than that, we're good, but those shortfalls sort of kill productivity levels big time. We do work very hard, but very mechanically, mostly. Very few guys here w/ problem solving mindset. To give u a practical experience example, I needed a fish leather formulae thru reverse engineering. As in- I got the stuff- and all the "finishing chemicals experts" had to do was to reverse engineer what I gave them & work from Z-A- which is a LOT easier than working from A-Z.
