All religious institutions are there to take care of the morals of the people. They are not there to eradicate poverty or to see to their well beings. When the wealth devotees amass while leading the sinful life grows heavy on their conscience, they donate it to these institutions. By doing so they think that they have been absolved of their sins. What ever these institutions get from these devotees goes to the charitable trust. It is for the Government to see to eradicate the poverty, and to see the well being of the poor. Government must see what these charitable trusts do with that money. Let these religious institutions do what they are supposed to do and Government should do what it is supposed to do.

Poverty eradication is government business !
Even otherwise, charity is the prerogative of the giver not of an onlooker !

You are right but again all have not amassed wealth and even other wise the incomes of temples only are being taken away by the government and not of any other places of worship, example, the Vaishno Devi temple, The Thirupathi Balaji Temple, the Sabarimala temple, etc, in the name of development, but if the government take the money from other sects also, the poverty can surely be eradicated in India
