In NewZeland beating NZ is always a problem for the visiting Teams historically and the improper team seelction (Certainly Horses for the courses were not consideredand tactical blunder by MSD and his wisemen)
The time difference, the fast and bouncy pitches short boundaries all become too much for Dhoni and his team

Hope MSD gives up the capataincy with grace !! (His over persistence with Rohit Raina and Ashwin also made huge difference)

People have their reasons for supporting teams in neutral matches, but I do sometimes find myself supporting teams close to my origins...but usually I support the underdogs. Some people I know support the best dominating team. ',

Other reasons for people could be for example Australia sledging other players of different teams which are borderline racist and so puts supporters off and hence choose against them. This doesn't go for subcontinental teams but this is true for England/Ireland/NZ supporters who are of the same origin.

Another reason for now is SL and WI were not at the top of their form for such a long time and at the beginning of the tournament, and the dominance by Australia has got every supporter from every nation dreading and hoping those two would knock them out, if not, any team.

Another reason supporting teams against teams of different origin has been history...such as South Africa always ending up on the wrong side of a game. New Zealand is not talked about, ...more

The crux of the problem is that we dont have quality fast bowlers, therefore we give away mover 6 runs per over and when the batsmen comes on to bat, they cannot keep pace and hence lose out - the gap left by the sudden retirement of 4 master players has also left a gaping void
