Mention Mahatma Gandhi & we think of fasting, restraint and the struggle for Indian independence. He renounced material comforts, promoted Indian goods and embraced a simple, ascetic life.
These images jar with German pen maker Montblanc's launch of a $25,000 pen to mark the 140th anniversary of his birth. I see it as an insult to him.

While mahatma gandhi stood for simplicity and for the common man all his life , the Mont Blanc pen is priced at Rs11.3 lacs which clearly very far , rather impossible and out of reach of the common man.Hence it goes against the principles of Gandhi ji and I think it is wrong to use the name of Gandhiji for any product.
