What is this so called Power: capability of subduing/ ruling over other human being by means of money and/ or physical strength. Alexander the Great, Timur Lung, Chengiz Khan, Nadir Shah, Ahmed Shah Abdali, Sultan Mamood of Ghazni, all were powerful persons; and before them Nebuchadnezer, Belshazar, Cirus the Great etc. were powerful persons. Thugs like Stalin and Hitler also became powerful persons -- so are Osama Ben Laden and Dawood Ibrahim.

Comrade sir, Forbes' job is to report wealth, and that's exactly what they're doing. Doesn't matter if they're politicians, entrepreneurs or criminals. Criminals are rich. We all know this.....I think ppl like Boris Berezovsky were MUCH more influential than Bin Laden & Dawood- even had his own private army! And if u look @ "Cosa nostra (Italian mafia houses)" they have assets worth nearly 1/4th of Italy's total GDP.

And even in Japan, after world war II, many criminal elements like Yakuza became extraordinarily wealthy! The Nippon-Busan transport route was exclusive to the Yakuza before air travel became popular in the 70s. Cosa Nostra & the Yakuza have MUCH more wealth than Bin Laden or Dawood......

We all know criminals are rich, even look @ a movie in India. GOod guy tugs it out in bullock cart (old days) or a bike (newer days) whereas the villan ALWAYS had a troop of mistresses, dancers, right hands, and lived in a sprawling bunglaw. "Anji lecha veedu, oru Contessa karru" w ...more

Both of them are in bussiness of $bilions. If Harverd can take donetion from Laden family how do we rule out such donetation from Dawood for institution dear to Forbes.Babidoc - Mother Treasa linc is not very old in memory though Hitler - Pope relation is old. One of our own Indian family is often discussed thought not fot the national wealth they have shifted to white world for many many years.

If it is a list of famous persons, these name should not be included. But certainly for infamous people list, they do deserve a big space.
