Retail boom is definitely here to stay. It will be the biggest employing sector in the service industry, giving people a lot of purchasing power. Reliance Industries of Mukesh Ambani has incorporated the 'farm to fork' approah which means farmers will get good monetary returns for their products. Reliance Industries will be giving support in the form of modern agricultural implements and technology to raise high quality crops and food products. Farmers will be able to get a good rate for return as the middle men will be eliminated. The same fresh products will be sold from Reliance retail shops offering standardized quality of food and other products. A lot of manpower will be required to run these retail shops being built across the county. This is definitely a sign of retail boom.
We are already seeing an explosing of retail malls like Infinity, Hypercity, Phonenix in cities. A lot of foreign players like Walmart are also scheduled to enter the retail market.
