No favourite ones but i like the ones that Rabindranath Tagore has used in Gitanjali. Metaphors really make poetry all the more charming.

An example : 'But soft, what light through yonder window breaks...? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun' in William Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'. Here, Juliet, the first object, is identified with qualities of the second object, the sun. This is my choicest and most favourite metaphor, Tanu :-)
