An awesome Question Sir! Naxals claim to be fighting for an equitable and just society. They claim to be friend of the common man. But they resort to atrocities against the Police who represent Law and Order.Police repression also has made Naxals to combat and that is the only positive aspect about Naxalism i.e to fight against repression.
But naxals kill in cold blood that is detestable.Communism may have died in Europe but its violent manifestation has been haunting India in the form of Naxalism. The country had already witnessed 1,128 incidents of Naxal violence till June 30 in 2009 alone. Sympathy

This is completely my personal opinion:

naxalism once upon a time used to be a movement against those who torture poor. These days it looks mostly like they do things to prove their existence with all the violence. Any violent act who so ever does is crime and inhuman. Beheading an unarmed police officer, kidnapping government servants etc....or kidnapping the train driver the other day causing panic and discomfort to general public isnt any movement. They say they fight for people and they cause panic and discomfort to general public, then what good are they doing to public? It would be great to see if they realize this and lay down arms and fight being in general public.
