There are two streams of thought which polarize our Indian society. (1) Those who have faith in the traditional Indian values (2) Those who hate them and favour the values of hatred and intolerance of invaders
The first kind are condemned as communalist while the second call them self secular
What is wrong with Indian secularism? That it does not recognize the fact that India is a secular country only because of the liberal values of the first category of people. Had the first kind not been in majority then this country would have been taken over by religious bigots long back and India would have become another terrorist headache for the world

The unity of the nation is in danger due to communal conflicts. The solution being suggested by so many intellectuals is the adoption of secularism. They seem to make such a suggestion primarily because they do not distinguish between secular and secularism. Mar Gregorios suggests that secularism is a religion, and it can coexist with other religions in India, but it should not become the state religion. Jawaharlal Nehru and Sarveppalli Radhakrishman represent two different approaches to secularism.

Our secularism is confined to our constitution.
India is only a multi-religious state, not a secular state!
Everything here, is governed by religion and caste!
