Vedas are the voice of God. Whatever be the date of their script, they are thought to contain the ultimate truth which has neither beginning nor end. Our ancient scholars visualized the nature secrets through the third eye of knowledge (via gathered spiritual power) and put them in words in the form of Vedic chants.
The Rig-Veda has chants in the form of poetry. It contains the chants praising the Vedic Gods which are really the basic power of nature such as Indra (the unifying power present in the subatomic physics), Vishnu (the originator of three dimensional space), Marudgan (the gods of thunder), Vayu (the filling element of three dimensional space) and Agni (the energy of all sorts).
