From the eighties I can only recollect and think of HUM LOG. As for the nineties and the ensuing MTv generation it was Prannoy Roys "The World This Week" that encapsulated one and all.

80s - Sunday, later Saturday's movies had their own charms. Among the favorite serials were 2 Bengali serial - Tero Parban (Savyasachi Chakravorty) and Bhagirath Ganga (Robi Ghosh and Deepankar Bannerjee), 3 Hindi serials - Buniyad, Naqaab, Rajni and of course Chitrahaar and English serials - Sorry and The Old Fox

I was born in 87 but in ninties my favourite programme on DD was chandrakanta.i used to watch it every sunday at 9 am.

There r so many ....some of my fav is.......Aamir Khusro, Malgudi Days, Nukkad, Byomkesh Bakshi, Chitrahaar, Circus, Hum Log, The Sword of Tipu Sultan, Tenali Rama, Surabhi, Rangoli & Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne...etc,

Hum log, yeh jo hai zindagi, buniyaad, spiderman, i forgot the name of the bhagyashree serial directed by amol palekar. it was too good. wagle ki duniya
