First let me tell you one of my real life incident .Once I promised an expert to give him a grand treat at Orient express in Taj palace in Delhi. If you have not gone there , this restaurant looks like a railway compartment of orient express from outside .To get reservation ,one need to book well in advance because , it is always heavily booked. Anyway , the job was done , advanced booking was through and we reached dot in time .But still we had to wait for long 40 minutes. We settled in our seat and feeling hungry. After another 15 minutes , one nicely dressed waiter came with huge mernucard . It was all in french which was naturally greek to us . I asked the waiter , what is your best menu ? He told " sir we have 4 course standard dinner ....starter , soup , main dish and dessert ....that's the best here ..ok bring it .We were three

After half an hour ,3 waiters came with huge covered plater , told something in french and ceremonially opened the cover .There were 2 pieces of min ...more

Quality is always better than quantity but if quantity is produced with quality then nothing like it. Quality stands apart, it shows the effort put in and reflects the seriousness with which act is performed.

Yes thats true. Its the quality that determines the status of things on all fronts, like say, people are pushing back against relentless encroachments on their personal time, just to spend some good time with family , which they know adds to the quality of their personal life, even if the time spent was comparitively less..
In small scale firms, ppl understanding business priorities well, are clear cut with their supreme quality products that yeald tangible pay offs both for the organization and also to the consumer.
Like if a student diggs into books , 18 hrs a day and scores below average results, shows that, quality was missing , which was the only requirement there.
So its not how much more or less is put into , that matters......,what matters is, whatever was put into should be such that ,all thats put in, is put into great use, and this itself determines best quality over quantity.

Hi GC, For the ,sake of Strength for a good purpose, Quantity will be required. To build a bridge to Lanka ,Ramji used a vanar sena for the purpose. But same Ramji, as Wife he preferred only one ,the Best who didnot mind even to walk across the fire ,the Agnipareeksha. Decision of Quality and Quantity can be seen depending on the purpose of the requirement .Quality always help for better results but in some situations Quantity also need to be considered ........!

" Ekah chandrah tamo hanti na cha taraganapi cha " Its a sanskrit ksholaka meaning one moon is enough to wipe out darkness and not all clusters of stars . Similarly is the value of quality . If we have many kids but not of good quality then the parents with only one good kid is many times better than the others . Quality gives us more satisfaction , more rewarding , more enduring , more lasting and what not .

I think, this cannot be taken as a universal statement. It is the circumstances, the place, the purpose and a whole host of other things that would dictate whether quality or quantity is more important at that specific instant or in that scenario for which we have to qualify this statement for that.

For the producers , quality costs , but it is the quantity that fetches him huge profits . Quality control , service provided are all expenditure items to manufacturers and they try to cut corners on them . As huge materials are purchased by Govt like medicines etc by rate quoted , it is well known that they cut quality to compensate lower quotations . The producers get away with providing lesser quality because the buyers have no way to know they are getting low quality . Milk producers mix soya powder to increase thickness . Every food item is adulterated . Though it is a lofty principle that quality is more important , it is generally ignored in our country .
