Is product safety taken seriously in India??

No , there is no knowledge or awareness about product safety in our country , even among the educated people , in the case of electrical equipments ,people bother about cheap substitute products , such as Mixies or food processors , Fans . There are finolex cables at different price ranges available , probably the spurious ones at this brand is made available at cheap prices ,as the genuine one is highly priced , even in drugs ,cheaper substitutes for quality stuff is available . The authorities keep watching with their fingers crossed .

No and never in this yug as even every child production is never cared after conception and God gave them 10 months to test and retest before delivering.
