Well Swati, there had been a great fuss from the fanatics to ban Jodha Akbar.I wonder how many of them know WHY?If you remember, there had been a great furore accross the country when Sahib, Bibi aur Ghulam was released & a group of pple belonging to a particular community ransacked the Cinema theatres in northern India displaying the movie, ditesting the dailogue "Ab raaj to raha nahi sirf puut reh gaye hain".What irks pple in this dialogue is not known.Like in, Jodha Akbar, the director-producer were not gone off head to squander huge money on this movie, which is based on history.Historians may be many but the truth remain the same.It cannot be denied that Jodha was a Rajput girl & Akbar a Mohammadan lad hailing from the royal Mughal family. If he proposed to marry Jodha & her parent and for that matter clans people Rajput community of that time did acceede to the proposal,as Girls of those times would seldom defy the dictates of their parents particularly in the matters of marriage, and ...more

Freedom of expression is part of any modern democratic country and a ban on that would be very much unfair and autocratic. Many may argue that it should not be a freedom to hurt others. But then those who are hurt also are given the right to avail justice through our judicial system.

Movies are meant for entertainment. People should see them only from that point of view. All movies depict some thing or the other which is wrong. In that case all movies should be banned.
