What is the reason for hiccups??

A very full stomach can cause bouts of hiccups that go away on their own. A full stomach can be caused by:
Eating too much food too quickly.
Drinking too much alcohol.
Swallowing too much air.
Smoking.
A sudden change in stomach temperature, such as drinking a hot beverage and then a cold beverage.

1) due to gases
2) due to very spicy eating
3) fast eating o food or drinking
4) eating very dry food like cake, bread
. all the above causes a small flap inside our mouth below tongue to vibrate irregularly.
we call them hicc ups.

Well scientificaly it has got other meaning but usually ppl say v get hiccups when sm1 remembers us...........:-)
